History of Heidarian Rugs

Back in 1890, Heidarian family started a Persian rug workshop. Heidarian’s rugs woven in parallel by nomadic tribes and local weavers in villages and town workshops are mainly and artistically made in four major rug centers of Iran including: Chaharmahal-o-Bakhtiari, Kurdistan, Fars and Azerbaijan.
Along with reflecting the great history of Iran, its peoples’ culture and the tendency of the modern Iranian art toward abstraction and fresh ideas, Heidarian’s rugs are characterized by their craftsmen’s techniques, the use of high quality materials, truly natural, elaborate colors and innovative patterns exclusively designed for Heidarian Persian Rugs.[1]
Since 2006, the fifth generation of Heidarian family, Arash Heidarian, the current CEO of Heidarian Persian Rugs, took over the influence of his father, Iraj Heidarian and continued the family tradition while introducing a new collection of Persian contemporary rugs. While keeping the top quality and high standards of Heidarian’s rugs, the Modern collection represent a variety of patterns influenced by fresh ideas and subjective concepts of young designers. Presently Heidarians collections incorporate over 22 different categories.[2]
Their Hand-woven collections are recognized and sought after by the most famous interior designers, architects and collectors from all over the world. They also won 3 times in 2007, 2008 and 2009 The Carpet Design Award, the world’s leading award for handmade carpet and rugs.[3]
